GEAR
ENDORSERS

I get asked quite a bit what gear I use, so here is a complete list, from my live rig to studio gear.

I am a Gibson Artist playing Gibson Guitars. I also officially endorse Mesa Boogie Amps, Music Man basses, Spector basses, Dot On Shaft guitars and Levy's fine leathers straps, bags and accessories.

For live I use a Mesa Boogie Triple Rectifier, a custom 400 watt 4 x 12 and run the mesa at 4 ohms into the quad stereo split. So It means I run 2 x 12 x 2 just to get the speakers working. I trust I'll be using up expensive tubes, but the sound is pretty big.

I use a Boss TU-2 tuner and nothing else. Sometimes I may run a Cry Baby Wah or a chorus. I also made a pedal called the 'TURD'. Basically it is a Cry Baby Wah in a fixed position and a roll off of around 400hz, for a cool AM guitar tone effect. The way I painted this pedal, well it looks like a piece of poo...

I use Planet Waves cables and Firewire Strings and Dot On Shaft strings. The guage is 12 - 52 because that's where the tone is.

Of course I use Gibson guitars. I have a Standard that is fuckin sexy. I also have a beautiful Dot On Shaft twin neck 12/6 that is gorgeous.I also use a Fender Tele with Seymour Duncan Pickups. I put a STK-T2b in the bridge and a T1n in the neck position. The thing roasts. I use nothing but Levy's straps on everything.

In the studio I use Music Man SUB and Sterling basses and Spector basses. I sometimes get to play other artists gear, like I used Jeff Martin's (The Tea Party) Matchless, his 1960 Gibson and his Rickenbacker (The one he used for Heaven's Coming Down) for tracks I did with High Holy Days recently in Metalworks Studios. Jeff produced the tracks and brought in all his gear for me to use. I wasn't going to argue.

Here is a list of stuff I use in the studio.
